Diffrence between Photoshop and Photoshop Elements?

What is the diffrence? I got Photoshop Elements for free with this nice digital camera. What diffrences are there? I can still do a whole bunch of cool things with Elements.

Need a font for photoshop.?

I'm looking for this font: Zapfino.

I want to use it in photoshop.

Once I have that font; how do I use it in photoshop.

P.s. I have Photoshop CS2

Once you install it by unzipping it into your C:\Windows\Fonts directory.

All you have to do is open a new image in PS, click the "text" icon, click anywhere in the new image and start typing.

You can try gimp for free, but I found it rather hard to use. And photoshop has more free brushes and actions available. At least that I have seen.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 is nice and under $100. It can do a lot of things that Adobe Photoshop CS3. If you really want a power house, you will have to go with CS, but that will get pricey.

I had someone at a message board take one image I had and use photoshop to make my new studio logo and he never did say how he did it and I'm still trying to figure it out so I can fix it up somee more.

If theres a good active message board out there for photoshop of if anyone can tell me what to do that would be great. and you would get 5 stars as well.

Start with a transparent background. Take your paintbrush and make it very large. With black put 1 dot to make a big circle. You can make that big dot 3 dimensional by using your filters and adding lighting effects. Once you have the 3d orb add the text.

After you have it how you want it go to layer then merge visible. Copy and paste it to your original backing.

I hope this helps I wasn't formally trained just learned by doing.

I'm trying to install photoshop cs3 and it starts off alright but then halts and asks me to 'install photoshop cs3....' !

What's going on? It knows it is the cs3 disk...

You click install or "run" to install it.

I wud do this:

* click on start button and click on run

* type control panel and hit enter

* doucle click add remove programs

* the add remove dialog window opens, look for Photoshop CS3 or any other version of photoshop, if there is one, remove it by clicking change/ remove button.

* Now insert the PS CS3 disk and if it autoplays, follow onscreen instructions... if it does not autoplay, browse into the disk and look for an icon that says "setup" or "install" etc. Double click it. Then follow the onscreen instructions.

* If its a cracked/ pirated disk, then it might ask u for a registration no. Browse into the disk again and look for a folder called "Crack". Go inside that folder and look for any text document, there will be some files and a text document inside crack folder. Open the text document and follow its instructions to crack Photoshop. :D

Now it should work. It does when I do it:D

The new one is photoshop cs3 and you can do ALLOT more then that on it.

Besides the suggestion to look for basic tutorials on the internet, you might want to get a couple of books or take an introductory workshop like at a local community college.

Some books to consider: Photoshop for Dummies (make sure you get the book that matches whatever version you are getting.) the Dummies books aren't really "Dumb" they are designed to help regular people who want to learn but aren't sure how or where to start. Another good one is the Visual Quickstart Guide. A little harder but really good is the Deke McClelland One-to-one book. All of these you can get on Amazon.com.

Your friend must have lots of money. The full/latest version, Photoshop CS3 runs around $600. There is a latest version of the consumer product, Photoshop Elements, which is pretty good too, but it's a lot less expensive.
