Photoshop cs2 vector question?

in this vector picture that there seems like theres a light radiating from behind the main pictures of the piece. How do I achieve this effect in photoshop

In Photoshop, select the gradient tool (in the tool box window, it will look like a box going from black to white). In the options bar on the menu above, you can edit the gradient and choose different options.



Once you have the colors and options you want selected, click on the picture where you want the gradient to start and then click in an area away from your original point where you want it to end, and it will create the gradient you want. Remember to use the marquee tool to select the area you want the gradient to affect in advance or it will fill the entire screen space.



That particular gradient is on a separate layer above the background and is a radial fill gradient going from white to transparent. A radial fill always draws from the inside to the outside, so remember that when you use the gradient tool that you want to start in the center and then pull outwards.



The layer appears to then be set for a lower transparency so that the background shows through all of it.



Then you can place your other pieces on separate layers above your background to complete the effect.
