Photoshop, skin?

What kind of photoshop and what tools/effects are you suppose to use to get skin in photographs to look something like this???

Yes it has been photoshopped unless the model is either a manaquin or has a crapload of makeup on all over her body. And also, what fhotoace says about prepress not wanting to pay for image editing bla bla - almost every single image you ever see in a magazine like that is photoshopped. Never ever trust a photo.



Anyway, the photoshop plugin I use for airbrushing is called Kodak Digital GEM Airbrush pro. If you're interested in "trying it out", email me mason@straightshots.co.nz
you could do a noise and dust filter, maybe a blur filter



then mask them with a low opacity back on the image.
It's a little hard to tell at that resolution, but judging from the consistent quality of the skin tone it is almost 100% certain that the photo has been retouched. Almost no skin is that perfect, and makeup would most likely show at least a little more tonal variation than is apparent. I wouldn't bet money on it, but my opinion is careful makeup application and some smoothing afterward.
